Agbeyewa Farms, NSCDC Ekiti State Command Strengthen Ties For Enhanced Security

Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. March 27, 2025:

The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has pledged to enhance its collaboration with Cavista Holdings and Agbeyewa Farms to fulfill its core mandate of securing critical national assets and infrastructure, including farmland security through the Agro Rangers Squad.

Commandant Toma Matthew Enya (PSLC) made this announcement while receiving the leadership of Cavista Holdings and Agbeyewa Farms at the command office in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025. This visit followed the commendable service delivered by the Agro Rangers Squad operatives responsible for security at Agbeyewa Farms, which prompted the Managing Director and Chief Executive Oska Seyi Aiyeleso to issue letters of commendation to the deserving officers.

In his remarks, Aiyeleso commended the support provided by the NSCDC thus far. He highlighted that Agbeyewa Farms is currently the largest cassava farm in Nigeria, cultivating over 1,000 hectares across three communities. Aiyeleso therefore emphasized the need for increased security presence from the command to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the farm’s activities.

Aiyeleso, acknowledged the tremendous support received from the host communities, disclosed that the farm is expanding its operations to 5,000 hectares this year and solicited the continued partnership and support of the NSCDC especially in the area of securing farmlands and ensuring food security through the Agro Rangers Squad deployment.

Commandant Toma highlighted the importance of providing adequate security for agricultural stakeholders, such as Agbeyewa Farms, to ensure the uninterrupted flow of food to consumers. He noted that this has become essential in addressing one of the key challenges affecting food supply in the country.

Commandant Toma Enya expressed his appreciation for the gallantry and professionalism of his officers and thanked Agbeyewa Farms for their recognition. He also commended Cavista Holdings for its significant investment initiatives, noting his satisfaction in witnessing local content development through partnerships with Agbeyewa Farms and Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort and Conference Centre in Ekiti State.
